Ernest Mutwarasibo, MA in Genocide Studies and Prevention and BA in History, is Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Rwanda. Under financial support of the Swedish International Development and Cooperation Agency (Sida), he is currently pursuing PhD training in Peace and Development Research at the School of Global Studies, University of Gothenburg. Since 2006, he got involved in various studies on roots and effects of genocide in Rwanda. Research and teaching draw on History of Genocide, Historical foundations of Social Movements and ancient Civilisations.

- October 2008- April 2012: Serving the National Commission for the Fight against Genocide (CNLG) in organizing the International Research Symposia on the Genocide perpetrated against Tutsi as part of the national genocide commemoration events.
- April 2007-2012: Several presentations at the National University of Rwanda on various aspects of the Genocide perpetrated against Tutsi and on the Holocaust.
- July 2009: Several Talks with students from secondary schools in Huye and Gisagara Districts on “The role of youth in rebuilding the post genocide nation of Rwanda”.
- May-June 2010: Trainings of local leaders, teachers and local citizens of Huye, Gisagara, Kayonza and Nyamagabe Districts on roots of genocide and ways out its consequences by rebuilding a national citizenship.
